A-Frame Plans

A-Frame house plans for Kenyan sites

We are developing a curated collection of A-Frame plans prepared for Kenyan conditions — from compact Airbnb cabins to family homes and multi-unit hospitality concepts. While the first plans are being finalised, you can already explore the collection, request a custom design, or talk to us about building.

Our first Crafty A-Frame plans are in development

In development

We would rather publish a few well-engineered plans than a catalogue of sketches. Each collection below is being prepared for real Kenyan sites — the first published plans will drop straight into this page.

Small Airbnb cabins

Compact, characterful units (~20–35 m²) with deck and glazed gable, designed for short-let returns.

One-bedroom retreats

Full A-Frame homes with a proper bedroom, kitchen and bath — sized for a couple or solo escape.

Two-bedroom holiday homes

Family-scale A-Frames, typically using a loft plus ground-floor bedroom to keep the footprint tight.

Family A-Frames

Larger layouts for regular living, with storage, services and thermal comfort designed in from the start.

Hospitality & multi-unit concepts

Coordinated designs for lodges and cabin parks — shared facilities, phased builds and consistent identity.

What To Expect

Every published plan will be a working document

  • Floor layouts with indicative dimensions and area in m²
  • Elevations showing the A-Frame form, glazing and deck options
  • Bedroom, bathroom, loft and deck specifications
  • Intended use — Airbnb, retreat, holiday home or family living
  • Indicative construction cost range for Kenyan conditions
  • A clear list of what is included, and what is not

Site-specific structural engineering and county approvals are always separate steps — a plan is a starting point, and we are clear about that.

Already planning an A-Frame?

You don't need to wait for downloadable plans — most A-Frame projects start with a custom design conversation. Tell us about your site and we'll take it from there.

Plans FAQs

When will the first plans be released?

Our first plans are currently in development. The collection grows progressively — each plan is prepared for Kenyan conditions and priced honestly when published. Ask us to notify you and you will hear from us the moment a plan goes live.

Can I request a custom A-Frame design instead of waiting?

Yes. A custom design is often the better route when you already own land or have specific use in mind. We design around your actual site, views and budget rather than a catalogue layout.

What will each plan include?

Published plans will include floor layouts, elevations, indicative dimensions, a specification summary and indicative construction cost guidance. Engineering for your specific site remains a separate, necessary step.

Do you build the plan I purchase?

Yes. Purchasing a plan and building it with us are complementary — most customers start with a concept plan and then request a build estimate for their site.
